I have had rugby shirts as a kid & wanted to pass along the tradition! However, the Ulysses was the one he really wanted - not available.
Well, maybe there's a next time?

Fantastic shirts - I purchased the Stonemaster and the Sierra. The shirts are well made, constructed of durable fabric, with bright and vibrant colors. Now, regarding sizing: based on another review, which stated that one should size up, do not, absolutely do not, size up when purchasing any of Withernot's shirts. These are the most generously sized shirts I've ever encountered (I wear Brooks Brothers shirts, so, I'm used to a generously cut shirt, but these shirts go beyond.). It is rather nice to encounter a company that doesn't cut corners when manufacturing with regards to sizing. I wear an XL and sized up to an XXL based on the review I read and allowing for shrinkage. The shirts were comically large. Huge. I worked with Patrick at Withernot and exchanged the shirts for an XL. The XL was also too large. Back they went. Patrick exchanged the shirts for a large, and the fit on both shirts is excellent. Overall length of the shirt is good, sleeve length is good, and there is room to move in the shoulders and the torso.
The return process was effortless, and made so by Patrick's fast, efficient, and friendly customer service. Excellent shirts and a fine company to work with.
Love the shirt. Fit, fabric, coloring all excellent. But the buttons are weak. The buttons are a soft rubber. But the stitching on the button actually snapped the button in half. I had to sew on my own replacement button which was easy enough.

I've had this shirt for about 6 months now. Wear it approximately once a week, and it is holding up great! The fit (as expected) is a bit full & boxy, but very comfortable & the fabric is nice & heavy. Looking forward to many more years of use!
Withernot uses a very thick material to construct these shirts. They demonstrate durability. Very impressive.
Well done! The ultimate year-round / no-worries shirt. Dresses up or down, goes with everything from shorts to khakis to jeans to blazers. Classic colors and built really tough but has a subtly refined fit without losing its brawn. (Bonus: it's slimming.) Gotten a lot of compliments.

Even before taking out of the package, the weight alone told me this shirt was different. The material is heavy duty, yet soft enough to feel comfortable on the skin. Quality weave and stitching with nice, understated buttons. I like that the brand logo is discreet. Colors are bold. This is easily twice the shirt compared to more high profile brand names. Runs slightly larger than other brands. I am happy with the purchase and will buy again if it ever wears out.
A heavyweight rugby that will last forever. Does run big and long in hem and sleeves. 5’9, 185 with broader shoulders, had to return a large for a medium. Customer service was great and replacement arrived super fast. Highly recommend.

I wore out a few rugby shirts back in the 70’s and 80’s working on trails and hiking in Wilderness Areas in Idaho. My new Stonemaster is the first since then built to handle some serious wear and tear. I’m looking forward to putting this one to the test!
This is my second Withernot rugby shirt and they’re awesome. Was looking for a vintage rugby like the Land’s End rugby shirts I wore back in the late 80’s and these are as good if not better. Excellent quality and super comfortable. Great colors too. Highly recommend, you wont be disappointed. Im sure I’ll buy another at some point.
My new rugby shirt is as classic as it comes. Very nice, heavyweight material. Definitely recommend!
The color is awesome. I’m 6’3”, 225 with broad shoulders and I got the XXL. It was too big at first but then I ran it in the dryer for like thirty minutes and it shrunk to the perfect fit. This rugby has a great hand feel and drape. I plan on getting at least one more color way.
This is my 7th Withernot and I don’t plan on stopping. The quality is impeccable, service is superb, and colors always rock. Can’t wait for the next go ‘round of designs!
I initially purchased a size large but it was too big (I’m 6 foot 1 inch and 180lbs) which I returned and the medium fits perfectly. I’ve washed it once and it shrunk a bit even with air dry, but the shirt has some flex to it so it still fits perfectly. I’m definitely buying another color soon.
I love these shirts! Hand down, the best I’ve found. Sturdy and rather heavy, they are perfect for north Idaho winters.
Great looking shirt with soft, heavy fabric. I followed the sizing chart and ordered a Large but it was too large and not very flattering on me. Returned it for a Medium which fits great. For others, I’m 6’4” 220 with 44L coat and the medium fit best. Got compliments while wearing it in public. Nice for 50-65 degree weather. Will likely purchase more shirts from this company!
I have a bunch of the Withernot rugbies and they never disappoint. I was a medium in the older shirts, now I’m a small.
