Over 50 years ago I bought a heavy weight rugby shirt while in college. Still have it. The two Withernot rugby shirts I purchased show the same quality of my original shirt. Very, very good. Thank you.
Ahoy all at Withernot. You have created an instant classic. You all are creating/making just what you know and it shows in a quality product that I will be purchasing more in the future. I know my next order will be an another guaranteed awesome rugby shirt.
As advertised, straight forward product. True to size. It pairs perfectly with my withernot rugby. I really like it!
Great quality. I’m 5’10, 200lbs and medium size fits fine. Pretty much equivalent to a large size from Barbarian that I have. Especially like cuffs that are snug and feel like they will not loosen significantly for a long time. Now own 4 and will continue to evaluate shrinkage (not much so far) and how colors stand test of time.
Extremely high quality rugby shirts but the colors in the website pictures are not very accurate. The Jasper is not teal and pink as it looks in the photos it is definitely more green and red. I still love the shirt and am keeping it but it does not look like the photo.
I took a gamble on the mystery shirt and I got the purple one with the teal stripe and I love it. These shirts are very high quality and thick I want them all
And these Mystery Shorts I ordered for my son were no exception! Super soft, brilliant uplifting-purple, perfect fit! He LOVES them!
This color combo is such a throwback! Though I was never a Charlotte Hornets fan, these colors together perfectly captures the 90s.
All around great shorts. I’ve already had several people say they look good and ask where they’re from. I'm a 33” waist and the medium fits great. Good inseam length and quality material.
Your shirts (we got two) are exactly what my partner and I both wanted; great colors, great fabric and weight, great construction. I think my partner should have gotten a Small, but he wears his rugby shirts over t-shirts so he's happy with the fit. They do run a bit long, but oh well, he's happy. So am I.
Wow I love this thing. Soft, dense, hardwearing but not too heavy for spring. Drop shoulders are a nice touch. Cuffs are tight, but better they start out tight and stretch than flop around from the start (and the arms are well long enough on a size M, which helps). Absolutely worth the price. Can't wait to see what else they produce.
I was a bit hesitant to spend so much on "just a rugby shirt" -- generally I buy everything on sale! But I wanted to give it a try, and I have to say I'm not disappointed. Quality is very good compared to today's fast fashion with brighter colors and thicker/nicer material. I only spent $15 for my Old Navy rugbies as I got them on clearance so of course you expect this to be better, but even compared to the $75 Vineyard Vines rugby I tried out, the quality and fit of this shirt is much, much better. I'll have to pick up a couple more!
For fit, I'm 6'2" 190 with long arms and I found the large to fit good though still a bit long in both the torso and sleeves, but I think that's the traditional rugby fit. After a run through the washer/dryer it fit me just about perfect.
Shirt was a present for my son.
I have had rugby shirts as a kid & wanted to pass along the tradition! However, the Ulysses was the one he really wanted - not available.
Well, maybe there's a next time?
Great shirt & will last a lifetime.
All the best & take care.
regards,
scott

Fantastic shirts - I purchased the Stonemaster and the Sierra. The shirts are well made, constructed of durable fabric, with bright and vibrant colors. Now, regarding sizing: based on another review, which stated that one should size up, do not, absolutely do not, size up when purchasing any of Withernot's shirts. These are the most generously sized shirts I've ever encountered (I wear Brooks Brothers shirts, so, I'm used to a generously cut shirt, but these shirts go beyond.). It is rather nice to encounter a company that doesn't cut corners when manufacturing with regards to sizing. I wear an XL and sized up to an XXL based on the review I read and allowing for shrinkage. The shirts were comically large. Huge. I worked with Patrick at Withernot and exchanged the shirts for an XL. The XL was also too large. Back they went. Patrick exchanged the shirts for a large, and the fit on both shirts is excellent. Overall length of the shirt is good, sleeve length is good, and there is room to move in the shoulders and the torso.
The return process was effortless, and made so by Patrick's fast, efficient, and friendly customer service. Excellent shirts and a fine company to work with.
Love the shirt. Fit, fabric, coloring all excellent. But the buttons are weak. The buttons are a soft rubber. But the stitching on the button actually snapped the button in half. I had to sew on my own replacement button which was easy enough.
Every inch demonstrates exceptional quality in materials and construction. Very impressed. Love the shirt
I've had this shirt for about 6 months now. Wear it approximately once a week, and it is holding up great! The fit (as expected) is a bit full & boxy, but very comfortable & the fabric is nice & heavy. Looking forward to many more years of use!
