ARCHIVED: Black Mountain Rugby Shirt - Bonfire

$115.00
This product is unavailable

Black Mountain, named after the dark appearance of its spruce-fir forests, is a special place on the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. I grew up going to camp up there in the summers with my brothers and friends, where my love for the outdoors really blossomed. I remember waking up in the misty mornings, cool hikes in the evenings, sailing and fishing in the lake, and many nights spent around a bonfire. This shirt, a classic tri-stripe rugby, is the shirt I wish I had all those summer nights spent up in Black Mountain.

Great climbing shirt

Back in the 80’s I had a couple of rugby’s from Patagonia so I was pleased when I found these shirts. The fabric seems to be a little softer and more flexible than my old shirt and that makes them perfect for cool days climbing.

Fabulous shirt

This brilliantly colorful rugby shirt is spectacular. The fit is perfect and the fabric is soft and warm. Absolutely love it. Who needs Polo!

Colorful, Vibrant, and So Damn Cool

This is my first Withernot rugby shirt, but it won’t be my last.

The colors of this shirt in particular are incredibly vibrant. It’s a bold, cool look that definitely catches the eye.

The fit is perfect. I highly recommend reviewing the sizing chart before ordering. I thought a medium would be fine, but I wisely selected a large after reviewing my measurements and comparing them with the sizing chart information. Regarding the fit of the large, it’s not too big, not too snug. For context, I’m 5’11 and 156 lbs with broad shoulders. Had I ordered, a medium, it would’ve been too tight. I might be tempted to order an XL if I wanted to try a looser fit. But the large fits like a glove. Zero complaints in that department.

I haven’t gotten around to washing it yet, so I can’t speak to whether or not the shirt is prone to shrinkage. However, I imagine if you follow the washing recommendations, you’ll be fine.

I can’t stress how happy I am with this shirt. I’ve already ordered another rugby shirt on this site with a darker/cooler color pattern, and I’m excited to get my hands on it.

If you’re like me, chances are you stumbled across this site via Instagram and are curious as to whether or not these Withernot shirts are worth your time and money. They totally are! If you dig the style, take the plunge and order one of these shirts. Just be sure to review the sizing chart in order to select the perfect fit.

On a side note, customer service is wonderful and very responsive. If you have any questions or are interested in returning or exchanging merchandise, the people operating Withernot will take care of you!
