The idea for The Narrows came from the way the canyon feels when you’re hiking through it. The walls have millions of shades of clay-red tones that shifts as the light bounces around. Then there’s the water, colder than you expec, running in a clean blue line that cuts through all that color.
The body of this rugby shirt carries that warm, rust-red base. The single blue stripe sits across the middle like the river you follow as the canyon gets tighter.
Heavyweight cotton, clean design, a little bit of canyon inspiration baked in.

Most rugby shirts today are flimsy and blended with synthetic fibers.
Ours are made from a custom-knit 14 oz heavyweight cotton fabric. No polyester. No stretch. Just substantial, heavyweight cotton that gets softer with age and develops character with every season of wear.

Withernot began with a painstaking journey: finding rugby shirts like the ones our dad wore in the 70s & 80s.
Heavyweight cotton. Rubber buttons. A sturdy twill collar. Reinforced construction.
After years of searching to no avail, we decided to take matters into our own hands and make our own.
